Meet the team

Karen Halliday Director of Insight Financial Recruitment Services Ltd commenced working in Recruitment with Lyn Parsons her co-director in 1988.

She has specialised in the Financial Services Market place since January 1995. Having spent several years working for large well known recruitment firms, she had the desire to offer a more bespoke service to both clients and candidates - taking more time to listen, fact find and build up long term honest relationships.

Michaela Morris, Insurance and Employee Benefits Specialist, began working in Insurance Recruitment in 1992. Having trained and worked within a large well known recruitment firm, Michaela then moved on to set up Insurance divisions with two other large firms.

On return from a maternity break Michaela saw the opportunity to offer a more bespoke service to clients and candidates alike by concentrating on quality of service rather than the quantity demanded by larger companies.

Krystal Trelford, Senior Consultant works alongside Karen Halliday recruiting within Financial Services. Before joining Insight, Krystal spent nine years working for major Life Offices and was Sales Support Manager for the intermediary division of a well-known organisation. Krystal has vast recruitment experience and is extremely au fait with the IFA market.

Sharon Hobson, Resourcer and Administrator - she is the key organiser within our team. She is responsible for the production of CVs, marketing, research and the update of our database.

We have a close working relationship with our sister company, Insight Recruitment and the Epsom base allows us access to a wide range of candidates and clients throughout SE England.

Service to our Clients

We can provide a full tailor-made recruitment service to many of our clients. Our experience has ensured a high degree of technical expertise, which in turn allows correct interpretation of specific role requirements and accurate candidate matching.

Our team has experience of running large recruitment campaigns for blue chip organisations as well as bespoke vacancies for clients of all sizes.

Our work reflects our experience. We have the ability to analyse people, organisational structure, company’s culture and market dynamics. We also utilise established relationships across the country. We confer with them about industry changes.

We understand that the responsibilities of a Recruitment Agency include not only finding the right candidate but also effective time management. This ensures that if no suitable candidates are available then none will be sent rather than the more usual approach of sending unsuitable candidates, which may waste clients’ time.

We prefer to meet clients on their premises to help gain a fuller understanding of their requirements and the environment for prospective candidates.

We advertise in Money Marketing, Mortgage Strategy, Professional Pensions and Pensions World. We also subscribe to various websites and advertise locally. We receive many recommendations of people that we have placed and assisted. We have a large database of contacts and will search thoroughly to find you the right people.

Our Terms of Business are competitive and flexible. We are based in the principles of integrating professionalism, rigorous consulting and maintaining close relationships beyond the specific assignment.

Service to our candidates

Candidates can rely on a confidential service.

On receiving a phone call or email from each candidate we interview you thoroughly over the telephone or arrange to meet with you. Though we are based in Epsom, we are happy to meet you at a location convenient for you and our consultants are usually in the City/Central London once or twice a week for meetings. It is essential that we meet you prior to any interviews with clients – although if appropriate we will speak to clients the same day as receiving your CV.

We will discuss with you our current vacancies and also any other Companies that could be suitable for you. We network discreetly throughout Financial Services and Insurance markets - though your details would not be sent anywhere or discussed with anybody without your prior permission.
